Ep 99: Holiday Coaching Tip #2: Practice Unconditional Permission to Eat

Nov 12, 2019

This holiday season, we're giving you mini-episodes with quick, actionable coaching tips to make this your most confident holiday season ever.

This week is tip #2: practice unconditional permission to eat.

When thinking about food freedom and making peace with food, avoid putting conditions on your eating, like “I can have this as long as I save it for a cheat day” or “I can’t have this very often.”

This points to a lack of trust with yourself. If you feel like you have to micromanage your food choices, you aren’t fully trusting yourself.

Self-moderation happens naturally when you aren’t obsessed with getting it right.

Unconditional permission to eat, as scary as it is, naturally brings unconditional permission to stop eating.

Today, practice unconditional permission to eat, and watch for any qualifiers your brain tries to throw in your way.
